Vectra 3D Imaging
Dr. Bohley uses an imaging system called Vectra 3D to create a 3-dimensional view of your face or body with the projected results of the plastic surgery procedure that you are considering. Vectra 3D imaging allows you to visualize how you will look after your surgery, and from every angle, so that you are more likely to get the results you expect.
How Vectra 3D Imaging Works
The Vectra 3D imaging system uses multiple cameras to take high-resolution photos of you from several points of view in order to create a virtual 3D model of you on the computer monitor. This model can then be rotated on screen to any angle. Dr. Bohley can then use the imaging software tools to apply the information he gathers from his consultation with you in order to simulate the changes that you desire from your plastic surgery procedure. A new virtual 3D model is created from these changes, and you can view the results on screen.
The Vectra 3D imaging process is done in a private setting, with only you and Dr. Bohley able to view the resulting images. The entire scanning and sculpting process used by the imaging system takes only a few minutes.
Benefits of Using Vectra 3D Imaging
The images obtained by the use of Vectra 3D imaging allow you to view the probable results of your surgical procedure without having to go through the surgery first. It ensures open and clear communication between you and Dr. Bohley, enabling him to make any necessary adjustments before surgery so that you can achieve the results you are expecting.
Results That Can be Simulated
Vectra 3D imaging can be used to view the projected results of the following procedures: body contouring, breast surgeries, brow lift, eyelid lift, facelift, rhinoplasty, tummy tuck, and liposuction.
Viewing Different Breast Implants
Once Dr. Bohley creates a 3D image of you, he can then use the imaging system’s software to input information on the size and shape of various breast implants so that you can view them on the 3D model and determine the right implants for you.
The Accuracy of a Vectra 3D Image
Because the Vectra 3D imaging system uses views of your individual body shape, as well as the measurements and conditions of your procedure configured by Dr. Bohley (using information based on the exact implants to be used, in the case of breast augmentation), the 3D image is very similar to the actual results. However, due to variations in how your body will respond to the procedure (e.g., how your skin will support a breast implant), the results simulated by Vectra 3D imaging cannot be guaranteed.
