What Areas Does CoolSculpting Treat?

Commonly used to slim down areas like the abdomen and hips, CoolSculpting can be used in many areas, including:

  • Upper arms
  • Under the chin (submental)
  • Back (bra rolls)
  • Love handles
  • Inner and outer thighs
  • Stomach

Some areas are not able to be treated during CoolSculpting, as the procedure works on fat cells underneath the skin, and not every part of the body has ample fat cells to target.

Good Candidates for CoolSculpting

You are a good candidate for CoolSculpting if you are not obese, but have unwanted fat that doesn’t go away despite good diet and exercise habits. This fat may include noticeable bulges of stubborn fat on certain parts of the body that you wish to eliminate. People who are not eligible for or interested in liposuction may be good candidates for this non-surgical fat reduction technique that can achieve less dramatic but effective results.

The Price of CoolSculpting

The cost of CoolSculpting procedures varies based on the number of areas you wish to treat and the number of sessions required in order to accomplish the desired effect. To create a customized plan for your individual body sculpting goals, contact Dr. Bohley at (503) 897-8999 for a one-on-one consultation.

The CoolSculpting Procedure

The CoolSculpting fat-freezing procedure is accomplished through multiple treatment sessions, the length and number of which is decided based on the number of areas being treated and a person’s specific goals.

During a CoolSculpting session, an applicator using gentle suction is applied to the surface of the skin at the desired treatment area, drawing the skin between two computer-controlled cooling panels in order to crystallize, or freeze, treated fat cells in that area. The patient may feel a brief period of tugging or pinching as well as intense cold as this occurs. Once the fat cells have been frozen, they die and are eliminated by the body naturally.

A CoolSculpting session is comfortable and requires no anesthetic, enabling patients to perform tasks like reading or checking email during the session. The results of a CoolSculpting fat reduction procedure can be seen as quickly as three weeks after the treatment, though the full effect of the procedure will be seen after two months.
